- Cyndi Wiese, who was a nurse practitioner in Minnesota, USA, died an untimely death in her early 40's from Ovarian Cancer, leaving behind her husband, Dr. Steve Wiese and three beautiful sons.
- She was passionate about Women's Health Care. In the last six weeks of her life Cyndi worked diligently to raise $27,000 and helped to launch the Women's Health Initiative which lives on every day at Shaktishifa.
